Obesity Cuts Lifespan?
Is childhood obesity such a serious problem? Statistics say that it is. What is the reason for such a high rise in obesity amongst kids?
-Kindness
-Sweetened beverages.
-Trans fat filled food.
-Sedentary childhood.

The age span thing is especially scary as the current adult generations are living longer. Does this mean our kids will die before us? That would leave no families to take care of us as we age. Now that’s a crisis.

As a mother, it breaks my heart to read this. In the U.S., the prediction was made in 2004 that our current generation of children will have a shorter life expectancy than us due to obesity. With obesity in children continuing to skyrocket, that prediction is becoming realized.
Currently, 20 percent of cancer deaths in women are caused by obesity. We are not only predisposing our children to heart disease and diabetes by allowing them to indulge in junk food, we are raising their risk of developing this dreaded disease.
Parents need to take action now, and stop blaming the schools….the government….the fast food industry etc. In the U.S., 78 percent of men aged 40 to 59 are overweight or obese. Since children learn from their parents, why would we not expect a childhood obesity epidemic?
