How good are diet pills?

by Neel

Its great to be able to buy a couple of diet pills and expect results. But its not all that simple.

Am I sounding pessimistic? Or granny-like. Go walk and get fit, don’t eat transfat…blah, blah, blah….But fitness is like that. Its working on the flab. There is simply no easy way out. Unless you are genetically predisposed to a well-toned body.

Anyway coming back to diet pills , different kinds of weight loss supplements include caffeine, L- carnitine, chitosan, chromium, flax oil, lipotropics, etc. Prescription pillsare regulated by the Food and Drug Administration and are are legal. Over the counter pills are not tested or regulated and can be risky.

Can you believe that nervousness, tremors, diarrhea, bulging eyes, palpitation and even heart failure are some of the symptoms that people have when they use these drugs? That’s why consulting a doctor is so important.Even herbal diet pills have scary side-effects. What a diet pill does is cut down on the muscle along with the fat. Metabolism is affected and so the patient faces some uncomfortable symptoms.

Losing weight needs the exercise and the diet control. I guess popping a pill just won’t completely help.
