I love my hoodia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That comment got me thinking about how dependent we have become on pills. Pop the pills, get thin. Pop the pills, be disease-free. But where do these pills come from?
Hoodia is an organic drug that keeps you thin and cuts down on your hunger. The amazing story behind hoodia begins with the san (bushmen) of the Kalahari desert in Africa They needed something to keep them going on hot dusty days when nothing else was available. As for ephedra its off the shelves now. Also known as ma huang in Chinese, this herb was used to treat asthma and hay fever. The question that ephedra users have is:how come the Chinese used this drug for so long and now it suddenly seems to be responsible for seizures and cardiovascular problems? One factor is using regulated dosage, though in the case of ephedrine even that is in question.
