I’ve been Thinking
I’ve been thinking.
I’m a blogoholic as in I’ve started with my write Poems In My Head blog and just yesterday I thought about doing a blog called Mom the Poet on my twins.
I’ve been reading blogs one after the other and what I noticed was that I’m not too personal when I write. Do you think Healthy B.P.M should be more personal?
What are you looking for in this blog as an audience?
I’ve been writing this blog for a long time now and I’ve learnt a lot of things in the process- like how much writing means to me and what blogging really means. It’s about interaction, networking and marketing….it’s a learning process.
Tell me what you want to read here and I will revamp my approach.

I must say, when I’m looking at health-related sights, I like to see tips and lists. Ways to beat stress, ways to fit exercise in with a busy schedule, ways you could be stressing your body and not realizing it.
I like to learn new things. I love learning. Talk about how little things can improve your health like focusing away from the computer every so often for your eyes, or adding cinnamon in your diet to help with blood sugar.
If you’re wanting to make more personal posts, then try out the things you write about and post about it.
Do you ‘practice what you preach’? We want to know.
Thanks for the link, by the way.
I hope these suggestions help.

I think health blogs should be more informative than personal, unless it is intentionally started as a blog about going through cancer treatment or something similar. For this one, I agree with JM. Tips, lists, new research, etc. would be a better focus than personal. Of course, intertwining personal experience when you have it is always a plus. Maybe a few posts about the roles of each body organ in health would be good, too.

I am a fan of the personal blog entry. That being said, I agree with the previous two commenters. I’m a research whore myself, so any research news would be great.

You can write about health related topics in general, find some tips for us, tell us about new stories and then ADD what you think about them.
That way you’ll do both: provide good information and add your opinion.

i agree that health blogs should be more informative than personal, however, like with mine, I think that if it’s a specific disorder or condition, something fairly finite and even steeped in the taboo, a personal touch is warranted as other readers may be looking for someone to reach out to.
did that answer your question at all, or just provide the longest sentence, ever?

I think it should be a total mix of personal and facts … because either one would be too much, too boring, or too off topic; but together they’re be perfect!
…and I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t know what B.P.M. means…
