Get the right walking shoes and wear comfortable clothing. Walk at a slow pace initially, keeping your spine straight, arms in motion and head upright. Wearing the wrong shoes can create adverse effects. Learning how to walk is crucial for your fitness regime to take off .
Walking enables calories to be burnt. Walking also cuts down on stress levels. All age groups can walk if their health permits. The reason that even an activity like walking is best done on a regular basis only AFTER consultation with a doctor is that you have to be declared completely fit. SOme kinds of artheritis get aggravated by walking and if you have coronary hear disease a sudden bout of walking could prove fatal. So just take that check-up.

I looooove walking, I literally walk everywhere. I’ve got to the ripe old age of 29 without learning to drive and it certainly keeps me fit. I have an hour’s round trip to the nearest shopping centre and I do it at least twice a week. People are getting lazy these days and it’s a real shame
